Jin Dai, age 50, died May 2, 2011.  Jin was born and grew up in Beijing, China.  He graduated from Beijing Medical University and began his career in Beijing Hospital.  He came to the United States in 1991 and worked at Case Western Reserve University doing neuroscience research.  Since 1996, he has been at Vanderbilt University Medical School continuing his research.

 Jin is survived by his wife, Haiping Dai; sons, James and Andrew Dai; father, Xueshu Dai; mother, Mei Lu; sister, Ming Dai and sister and brother-in-law, Yue Dai and Wenxiang Chen. 

The Rev. Scott Harris will conduct a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m.  on Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Baskin Chapel at Brentwood Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
