The pool at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood, will be closed most of next month, Aug. 1-28, for routine maintenance and repairs.

The ISC pool was opened by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department in 2002.

“This 10-year ‘facelift’ will address normal wear-and-tear on the pool and allow for routine maintenance and repair,” said ISC aquatics coordinator Bryce Bradley.

The 50-meter Olympic competition training pool is a popular year-round swim venue, with Daktronic scoring systems, attached shallow water teaching pool and seating for 900.  In 2010, the pool served more than 82,000 swimmers.

During the pool maintenance, ISC water aerobics participants, lap swimmers and other pool users may use the indoor pools at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., or the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. For more information, contact Bryce Bradley at (615) 370-3471, ext. 12.
