What do you think should happen to 'the tree'? BHP wants to know

Brentwood Home Page is working on several stories for which we would love your input:

As we work on our election story about the Fifth District County Commissioners race, we’d love to hear from east Brentwood, Nolensville residents about what county issues most concern you as you vote for your county commissioners.
What would you like to be done with remains of the old bur oak tree at the Brentwood Library? And what would you eventually like to see within the fence that now surrounds those remains?

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE BUR OAK REPLACED WITH SEVERAL NATIVE TN TREES INCLUDING ONE OF THE SAPLINGS FROM THE CURRENT TREE.(PECAN - WILLOW?) KIND OF A FEATURED ORCHARD OF TREES INSIDE THE FENCE.

I think they should take a cross section of the biggest part of the tree and put it on display in the library. Lipscomb Elementary did this when the city cut down a similar size tree when widening Concord Rd.
