BHS, RHS, Currey Ingram students work on build

Brentwood Home Page news reports
A new Habitat High home built by Williamson County students for brothers Deontae and DeCarlos Alexander will be dedicated on Sunday afternoon, March 13.

The ADA-equipped home at 1767B West Main Street in Franklin will be the 11th house completed and dedicated in what has become a yearly tradition with several local high schools.

Students from Brentwood High, Ravenwood High, Currey Ingram Academy, Battle Ground Academy, Centennial High, Franklin High and Independence High joined forces to construct this home over a five-week period. Local Lowe’s employees also participated in this Habitat High build as volunteers.

The dedication will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday rain or shine.

This year a grant from Lowe’s has enabled funds raised by the participating schools to allow for another build in the fall.  In addition, a grant from The Home Depot Foundation helped purchase special items needed to meet building requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and native trees and plants for landscaping.
