Restaurant Week 2012 is Jan. 16-22 and Nashville Originals members will offer “great food for great prices” in its honor. Nashville Originals is a group of locally owned restaurants that have formed an alliance of deliciousness and are “dedicated to sustaining the independent restaurant as a fixture of Nashville’s culture and community.”
Participating restaurants are featuring two, three and four-course meals for $20-30 a person.
Nashville Originals Brentwood/Franklin participating restaurants include:
Wild Iris, 127 Franklin Road, is offering a two-course dinner for $20.12. The Citrus Glazed Pork Loin with a Smoked Gouda Grit Cake might please your savory and sweet side, or you can view the full Restaurant Week Menu at by clicking here.
“Restaurant Week provides a great opportunity to give back to the community who supports us by offering quality meals for a lesser price. Also, it’s a great time to open our doors to new customers who are looking for an inviting atmosphere and a new neighborhood restaurant where they can hang out,” Jonny Houlihan, Wild Iris’ bartending manager for nine years. He also works at its sister restaurant the Yellow Porch.
Executive Chef David Billings said that although the menu is drawn from the restaurant’s original recipes, he is working on a white chocolate mousse as a Restaurant Week dessert special.
55 South, 403 Main St. Franklin, will serve a three-course dinner for $30.12. Love shrimp and grits? Check out their Restaurant Week menu by clicking here.
Red Pony, 408 Main St. Franklin, will have a three-course dinner for $30.12. Does Duck Confit Spring Rolls with Thai Dragon Sauce sound good? That’s just for starters; click here for details.
