Tickets still available for benefit concert Brentwood Home Page staff reports The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young” was nominated for the Best Country Song at last week’s Grammy Awards. The sibling ensemble is one of three Top New Vocal Duo or Group nominees in the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards. In the last few weeks, Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano) and her two brothers: Reid (bass guitar, background vocals) and Neil (mandolin, drums, accordion, background vocals) have appeared on The Tonight Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
On Monday, you can see them in Brentwood. The Band Perry, joined by Sunny Sweeney – whose single “From a Table Away” peaked on Billboard’s Country Charts at No. 13 and has remained on the charts for 34 weeks; and Natalie Hemby, who co-wrote "White Liar" with singer Miranda Lambert, at Music4Music, the annual concert at Ravnewood High School that benefits the school’s marching band.
The evening begins with a silent auction at 5 p.m. followed by the 7 p.m. concert. Select VIP tickets are sold out, but $25 general admission ones remain.
