Brentwood Home Page news reports Communications Strategies won the Public Relations Society of America — Nashville Chapter’s distinguished Award of Merit for its exceptional media relations service to the newly established Southern Women’s Automotive Forum.
Created by Nissan vice president and SAWF president Susan Brennan, SAWF’s primary function is to promote the personal and professional advancement of women in the automotive industry who live in the Southern region of the U.S.
The services by Communications Strategies, one of Nashville's most prominent minority-owned public relations firms, provided to SAWF gained the organization national exposure and recognition. Media recognizing SAWF included Forbes, LA Times, CNBC, Miami Herald, Associated Press, CBS News, ABC News, WPLN Radio, Nashville Business Journal, MSNBC and other media outlets across the country.
Company president Peter Woolfolk was joined in this effort by colleague Barbara Dab. The award was presented to Woolfolk at the annual PRSA awards dinner April 19 in downtown Nashville.
Brennan, who attended the awards dinner with other SAWF board members, said, “the company did wonderful work. They put us on the map. We are very pleased with their efforts.”
Woolfolk is a former member of President Bill Clinton’s administration, a former press secretary to three members of Congress, and the host and producer of radio and television programs in Washington, D.C.
