Mutual aid given to Nolensville in early morning hours
Brentwood Home Page staff reports

On Sunday afternoon, personnel at Brentwood Fire & Rescue’s Station 2 responded to a grass fire but they didn’t have to wait until a 9-1-1 call came in.

“It appears that our personnel actually discovered the fire,” Fire Chief Brian Goss told Brentwood Home Page Sunday afternoon. The blaze involved approximately two acres of land across from the fire station and the Williamson County Recycling Center.

“Engine 2 requested an additional engine and our brush truck, and had the fire under control in less than an hour,” Goss said. He added that the fire never extended to any inhabited area. The cause has yet to be determined.

At 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Brentwood’s Engine 2, Rescue 1, and the Shift Commander were dispatched on mutual aid to assist Nolensville Volunteer Fire Department fight a house fire at Burke Hollow Road in Nolensville. Brentwood’s crew remained on the scene assisting until 6 a.m.
