The Office of Economic Development in Williamson County announces the appointment of Jeremiah Pyron as the organization’s new marketing director.

Pyron is responsible for increasing awareness of Williamson County and developing website, brand enhancement and external marketing activities that will encourage economic growth. He will assist in attracting new corporate investment in Williamson County and in working with existing companies on business retention or expansion strategies.

“Jeremiah is a great addition to our team,” says Economic Development Director Matt Largen. “He understands what it takes for businesses to be successful, and he has a strong working knowledge of the business community in Williamson County.

“His active involvement with several local nonprofits and business groups has also helped him develop relationships that will support his effectiveness in his new role.”

Prior to joining the Office of Economic Development, Pyron managed relationships for medium to large businesses at an information technology consulting firm in Cool Springs.

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Pyron has 10 years of experience and involvement in the Middle Tennessee business community. He is a recent graduate of Leadership Brentwood and is active in local Chambers of Commerce and nonprofit organizations, such as Mobile Loaves and Fishes and Habitat for Humanity. He served as the race course chair for the 2010 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and will return again for 2011.
