Weigh Down Ministries hosts free 2-day seminar

Desert Oasis, a two-day conference featuring best-selling author of The Weigh Down Diet, Gwen Shamblin and the Weigh Down Ministries staff returns to Brentwood on July 22 and 23.

The annual faith-based seminar includes scripture-based lectures, inspirational testimonies from past participants now free of a variety of addictions, and many whose testimonies have been featured in national media outlets. Brand-new and long-time Weigh Down participants will benefit from the practical sessions.

Desert Oasis takes place at the Remnant Fellowship Church, 1230 Franklin Road in Brentwood. It begins at 3 p.m. Friday, July 22, with the evening lecture at 6 p.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, with lectures begin at 9:30am. After a lunch break, the conference will continue into the late afternoon.

Weigh Down Ministries is sponsored by and serves as the publishing house for the Remnant Fellowship Church. Its mission is to meet the needs of the community in the form of classes, books, and education on how to overcome "strongholds" in individuals' lives.
