DC Dance Factory, a dance studio in Cool Springs, recently took its seven competitive dance companies to a national competition in Schaumburg, Ill.

DC Dance Factory celebrates 14th national championship.

The national competition was Star Systems Talent Competition, one of the top dance competitions that has been operating for 25 years. This dance competition is among the best of the best at national competition.

The nationals consisted of a five-day event with more than 1,000 competitive dances competing. Studios came from all over the United States to compete in the competition.

DC Dance Factory, who has been competing for 15 years, has been ranked national champions for the last 13 years and once again was national champions this year.

Not only did DC Dance Factory win first place overall champions throughout the week in specific age categories and different styles and groups. They also were the grand champions in the final championship of both the 11 and under category and the 12 and up category. Its biggest accomplishment was winning the top studio cup based on each studio's top five scores.

DC Dance Factory has been ranked as one of the top 50 studios in the United States by Dance Spirit magazine. Many DC Dance Factory dancers have gone on to become professional dancers on tour with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Rhianna, and many more.
