BHS production selected for state thespian conference
Brentwood Home Page news reports
Brentwood High School theater department’s fall production, A Curious Savage, has been selected as the main stage performance for this year’s Tennessee State Thespian conference.
The conference takes place this weekend in Memphis.
“Schools from across the state submit their fall shows to be one of the two main stage performances at the conference,” theater instructor Lisa Moody said. “A Curious Savage was chosen as the top pick to perform Friday night. This is a big honor and a big undertaking.
“We dismantled and labeled the set so it would go up quicker than normal. We have rented a big moving van and have a host of parents going to help put this show on stage. The students are doing a really great job remembering their lines and blocking. The full cast is back.”
In all, 26 BHS students are traveling to the conference.
