Chamber hopes Friday the 13th a lucky one

The Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce, an independent organization dedicated to the economic development and growth of Cool Springs and Williamson County business professionals, announced today that it is ‘full steam ahead’ with a bold drive to welcome 100 new members on Friday.

“This group is highly motivated to grow.  While ongoing discussions regarding a possible unification of Williamson County’s Chambers of Commerce continue, we are alive and well,” chamber president Marti Veto said.

“This core group of energetic self supporters is tuned in, tapped in, and turned on. To let that momentum subside in the wake of a churning process would be a disservice to the community,” she added.
Over 100 volunteers are organized to complete a one-day membership drive designed for members to invite their friends in business to join the Cool Springs Chamber and “begin reaping the benefits,” Veto said. “If each volunteer gets even one ‘yes’ we have achieved our goal.

“It’s a heated but light-hearted competition among team leaders to see who can bring in the greatest number of new members.”

Following the day’s work this Friday, a celebratory ‘Roast’ of the team winners starts at 7 p.m. Durego in Westgate Commons in Brentwood.  Blues and jazz music and dancing begin at 8 p.m. as Durego Nights opens to the public with the Blues Angelz on the stage. All new members and friends of the chamber are welcome to join in the festivities.
