Brentwood Home Page news reports Three people had keys taken from inside the Brentwood YMCA and one set of keys was used to remove items inside the victim's vehicle, according to the weekly crime report.
There were a total of six general theft incidents, two thefts from motor vehicles, and one case of vandalism in the report released Thursday by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Two victims' keys were reported missing from the Y weight room, and one didn't have anything taken from the vehicle in the thefts around 1:30 p.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, Walsh said. A third victim had her wallet and keys removed from her purse in the pool area, but her vehicle was not entered, he noted. A suspect was described as a white male, 20-30 years old, about 5-feet-7 to 5-10, 180 pounds with brown hair, mustache and goatee, last seen wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts.
A backhoe bucket was reported stolen from a field on Sunset Road approximately 2,000 feet from the roadway during June 17-23.
A zero-turn lawnmower with 10-foot trailer was taken from the driveway of a resident on Cambridge Court between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.
A work at an office building on Maryland Way reported a glass vase, coffee mugs and books removed from her desk over the weekend of June 24-June 27.
Suspect Phillip White was arrested for allegedly shoplifting alcoholic beverages and food from Kroger, 330 Franklin Road, after returning twice on the same date, June 28.
In thefts from motor vehicles, a .38 caliber handgun and two cameras were stolen at Brentwood Pointe II after the front passenger side window was broken overnight on Wednesday, June 22.
There was no forced entry when a purse was taken from a vehicle on Shining Ore Drive about 4:30-5 p.m. Thursday, June 23.
In the vandalism incident, a City of Brentwood pump hose used to pump water into a pond at Deerwood Arboretum and Natural Area was cut in several places about 4:30-4:40 p.m. Thursday, June 23. Three teenage males and a teen female were seen in the area at the time of the incident.
