Brentwood Home Page news services Windows were broken out of vehicles at Civitan Ball Park and the Maryland Farms YMCA, another license plate was taken at Andrews Cadillac, and money was stolen from a church, according to the weekly crime report.
There were also three general thefts and one residential burglary attempt in the Brentwood Police Department report released Thursday by Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Purses were stolen from the two vehicle break-ins, which both took place Sunday morning, March 6. The front passenger window was broken out at the ballpark, 8013 Concord Road, and a Red Jeep was seen in the area at the time of the incident, 8:10-8:15 a.m.
The rear driver’s side window was broken out at the Y, 5101 Maryland Way, around 8:42-8:45 a.m., and a White Ford Flex and unknown suspect were seen near the victim’s vehicle.
A license plate was stolen at the auto dealership, 1 Cadillac Drive, sometime between Friday evening and Monday morning, March 4-7, while it was parked near the used car area.
At Otter Creek Church, currency and checks were taken from a desk drawer in a church administrator’s office between Friday, Feb. 25, and 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28.
Another general theft took place at a Knox Valley Drive residence, where assorted jewelry and clothing were removed from the master and guest bedrooms without forced entry between Feb. 23 and March 7.
A suspect was arrested at Costco, 98 Seaboard Lane, for allegedly shoplifting clothing around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 8.
In the burglary attempt, a homeowner on Hood Drive reported forced entry through a garage door Friday, March 3, between 9 a.m.-5:45 p.m. but didn’t notice anything missing.
