A truck was stolen near a construction site at Brentwood Baptist Church, and thieves took a utility trailer, irrigation control box and a fiber optic switch cabinet, according to the weekly crime report.

There were two general thefts, one business burglary, one residential burglary, one theft from motor vehicle and the stolen vehicle in the report released Thursday by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.

The irrigation control box owned by Timmons Property was swiped from the rear of the subdivision entrance sign at Northumberland Dr. and Split Log Road sometime during June 13-16.

A homeowner had a 5x8 utility trailer stolen from the driveway of a Karen Court residence between 6 p.m. Friday, June 17, and 3 p.m. Sunday, June 19.

In the business burglary, AT&T's fiber optic switch cabinet was taken around 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, from 219 Franklin Road, the address of the Murray building.

A diamond ring was reported stolen from a jewelry box in a master bedroom closet of a Brunswick Drive residence during June 7-20. There was no forced entry and no suspects.

In the vehicle theft, a 1997 Chevy Blazer was later recovered in Texas after being taken from an open field near the construction site at the rear of Brentwood Baptist, 7777 Concord Road. Two unknown male suspects were seen near the vehicle at the time of the incident, 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday, June 17.

A license plate was removed from a vehicle parked in a lot at an Executive Center Drive office building, sometime since last Oct. 1 and June 16.
