Brentwood Home Page news reports Though it wasn’t the biggest crime of the week, it was the most disappointing. Two rubber swings on a children’s swing set were cut in half at the High Hopes therapeutic day care center on Mallory Lane at some point between May 27 and June 6. The vandalism was included in the latest Brentwood Crime Report released Thursday by Capt. Tommy Walsh of the Brentwood Police Department.
In another vandalism case, several mailboxes were struck with an unknown item on Crockett Road between 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, and 7:50a.m. Saturday, June 4.
Also in this week’s report, on June 8 between 2 and 5 p.m., a purse with its contents, jewelry and silver were taken from a residence on Wellesley Way. There are no suspects.
Five general theft reports include three shoplifting cases in which three suspects have been arrested. The arrests included two juveniles.
On June 3 in the late morning, a wallet was taken from a Centerview Drive office. Credit cards were used at multiple retailers in Nashville. And a laptop computer was taken from an office at Brentwood United Methodist Church on June 7 between noon and 12:03p.m. The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30-40, last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts. He left in a white Chevy Impala.
Locks were punched but no entry gained to a vehicle parked at 920 Heritage Way on June 7 between 12:30 and 1:40 p.m.
