Brentwood Police arrested a suspect who fled from the scene of a traffic stop, and later determined the vehicle had been stolen from Nashville Auto Sales, according to the weekly crime report Thursday.

There were also purses taken from two vehicles at the Maryland Farms YMCA, while wheels and tires were swiped from an Integrity Healthcare Vehicle. The report released Thursday by BPD Capt. Tommy Walsh also listed one residential burglary, three general thefts, and two cases of vandalism.

Police stopped the stolen 2004 Nissan Xterra at I-65 South at Moores Lane at 1:02 a.m. Saturday, April 16.

In the thefts from motor vehicles, a front passenger side window was broken into during 4:30 p.m.-6:50 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the YMCA, 5101 Maryland Way YMCA. Two suspects, one described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot white male with thin build wearing blue or green shirt, were seen leaving in a dark late model sedan.

The next morning, another purse was removed from a vehicle with no forced entry required at the Maryland Farms Y, between 8:15 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. Friday, April 15.

Integrity Healthcare had the rear wheels and tires taken from a vehicle while it was parked in the lot overnight on Monday, April 18.

In the vandalism incidents, one also involved a vehicle window smashed on the front driver’s side at Brentwood Office Building, 116 Wilson Pike Circle, at 8-9:30 p.m. Friday, April 15.

Office Max, 210 Franklin Road, also reported graffiti written on the restroom walls between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15.

In the home break-in, a flat-screen TV and jewelry were reported missing from a home on Millview Drive on Friday, April 15, after entry was forced through a rear door.

There was a theft attempt with one of two locks pried from the door on a backyard shed at a Quiet Lane residence during April 10-14.

A suspect was arrested for allegedly shoplifting a gaming keyboard at Best Buy, 1600 Galleria Blvd. around 3:25 p.m. Friday, April 15.

Adult and children’s tennis shoes were shoplifted from the Nike Factory Store, 1622 Galleria Blvd., about 2:42 p.m. Monday, April 18. Three black females and two black male suspects were seen leaving in a blue Chevrolet Aveo hatchback.
