Brentwood Home Page news reports The recovery of a stolen vehicle at a traffic stop, and the theft of alcoholic beverages and ice cream from a Brentwood Country Club cooler are listed among incidents on Brentwood’s weekly crime report.
There were also a home burglary, three thefts from motor vehicle, a vandalism incident, and nine cases general thefts including stolen BHS graduate signs (read our update here), in Thursday's release by Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Brentwood Police recovered a 2009 Audi S5 stolen in Nashville and arrested suspect Crishaun Brooks following a traffic stop at Concord Road/Franklin Road around 3:50 p.m. Monday, May 23.
BPD also arrested suspect Alfonso Covarrubias who was fleeing the scene on foot after two air conditioning units were removed from a house under construction and moved to the street. The incident on Harrogate Drive took place at 9:07 p.m. Friday, May 20.
Almost half of the general thefts, which included the graduation yard signs, involved shoplifting. A juvenile suspect was arrested for swiping a PlayStation 3 game at Best Buy at 1:37 p.m. Saturday, May 21. A juvenile was also arrested shoplifting a radar detector at the store at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, and a juvenile was charged with shoplifting two video games later that evening at 9:10 p.m.
Sunglasses were stolen from Daily’s, 150 Franklin Road, at 11:20-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24. The suspect was described as a white female, 30-35 years old, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds, with brown hair, seen leaving in a blue or green Olds Alero.
A wallet was taken from a victim’s office on Chadwick Drive between 7 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. Friday, May 20.
A lawnmower was stolen from the front yard of a residence on North Lake Drive during 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21.
DaVita reported a flat-screen TV stolen from its office at 5214 Maryland Way between Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon, May 24-25.
Brentwood Country Club reported that zip ties were removed from a cooler to steal alcoholic beverages and ice cream between 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, and 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 24. There was no forced entry to the building.
In the thefts from motor vehicle, a handicap parking placard was removed from an unlocked vehicle on Westgate Circle between noon and 3 p.m. Thursday, May 19.
A portable game system was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the address of Granny White Park at 3 p.m.-3:15 p.m. Thursday, May 19.
EZ Lawn Care reported a gas blower was taken from the truck bed while it was parked at Home Depot, 8101 Moores Lane, during 1:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24.
The Montclair Homeowners Association had a brick thrown through the front glass of a vending machine overnight Friday, May 21.
In the residential burglary, a flat-screen TV, DVD and jewelry were stolen from a home on Deer Track Court between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, May 20. There was no forced entry.
