Brentwood Home Page news reports City park property was vandalized, a bicycle stolen from Brentwood Library, construction sites hit by thieves, and thefts took place at the Maryland Farms Y, according to the weekly crime report.
There were eight general thefts, four cases of vandalism and two home burglaries in the report released Thursday by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh on Thursday.
That was in addition to the vehicles burglaries reported on earlier this week by Brentwood Home Page. Two adults and two juveniles on foot were arrested after a call to police about suspicious activity early Sunday morning, April 10. Brentwood Police recovered guns, GPS units, iPods, computers, and other items after multiple vehicles at multiple addresses had been burglarized.
In the vandalism incidents, graffiti was painted on the City of Brentwood’s park pavilion posts, picnic tables and trash cans at 320 Deerwood Lane between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.
Tires were cut on three vehicles parked in a driveway on Pear Tree Circle overnight on Sunday, April 10.
An outdoor air conditioning unit was reported vandalized from noon Saturday, April 10, to 6 a.m. Monday, April 11, at a Wilson Run address, with four holes found in the casing.
A suspect was arrested for allegedly tearing a windshield wiper from a vehicle and using it to damage the victim’s car at 1:20 p.m. Monday, April 11, at 9100 Crockett Road, the address of Holy Family Catholic Church.
At the Maryland Farms Y, 5101 Maryland Way, a padlock was cut and an iPod taken from a locker during 9:40-10:05 a.m. on Sunday, April 3.
A vehicle key was also stolen at the Y from the ledge near a stairwell while the victim stood nearby, around 4 p.m. on Friday, April 8. Two black male suspects, described as in their late teens to early 20s, thin with short hair, were seen leaving in an older gray hatchback-style sedan.
Another trailer went missing as an 18-foot utility trailer was taken from the driveway of a residence on Old Hickory Boulevard and the license plate removed between Sunday, April 3, and Thursday, April 7.
Two construction sites were hit again, this time next to each other on different days. Trace Construction Co. had 165 bundles of shingles taken from the front yard of a residence on Portofino Dr. overnight on Friday, April 8.
Landscaping plants delivered to another residence under construction on Portofino were taken from the driveway area overnight Monday, April 11.
A bicycle was stolen from the bike rack outside the Brentwood Library, 8109 Concord Road, between 4:05-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.
Checks were taken from the victim’s room in a residence on Brentmeade Boulevard sometime between Feb. 1 and April 11.
A shoplifting suspect was arrested for trying to steal a cell phone from Best Buy, 1600 Galleria Blvd., at 4 p.m. Monday, April 11.
In the residential burglaries, there was no forced entry at a home on Brentmeade Boulevard, where Moral Missirian jewelry and sterling silver were swiped during 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday, April 7.
Forced entry was gained through the rear door at a residence on Quail Valley Drive, where jewelry also was taken, between noon Wednesday, April 6, and 9 p.m. Thursday, April 7.
