Brentwood Home Page news reports Jewelry was heisted from another Brentwood home, and a passport and birth certificate were swiped during a moving sale, according to the weekly crime report.
There were a total of six general thefts, two residential burglaries and two thefts from motor vehicles in the list released Thursday by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Assorted jewelry in excess of $10,000 was swiped from a residence on Grand Oaks Drive sometime during Oct. 19-21, with no forced entry. Two other homes, another in Belle Rive on Waxwood Drive and one in Forsyth Park Drive in Montclair, had jewelry stolen during the daytime Thursday, Oct. 20, after break-ins through rear basement doors (click here for last week's Crime Report).
"The burglary reported on Grand Oaks Drive was committed during the same general time frame and is very close in proximity to one of the incidents reported on last week’s crime analysis," Walsh said. "At this point I cannot confirm that it is related, but it is certainly something that we are looking at."
In the other home burglary, interior doors and cedar shutters were removed from a garage at a Seward Road residence between 6:50 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27. There was no forced entry.
The passport and birth certificate were taken from the master bedroom around 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, while the victim held a moving sale at a Franklin Road residence. Two suspicious white females were seen entering the bedroom. The suspects were both described as 18-23 years old, 5-foot-7, 120 pounds, and one had red hair and the other brown.
A cell phone was stolen from a backpack left unattended during a wrestling tournament at Brentwood Academy during 3:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27.
A shoplifting suspect dropped two computer monitors in the parking lot of Office Max before fleeing in a green Ford Escort, at 12:38 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. The white male was described as 30-40 years old, 5-foot-11, 250 pounds and last seen wearing a multi-colored hoodie, shorts and tennis shoes.
A Holiday & Company, 7020 Church Street, had a wrought iron table taken from the sidewalk in front of the business over the weekend of Oct. 29-31.
A 6x10 trailer was stolen from a Puryear Place residence between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.
Jewelry was taken from an office restroom at 6 Cadillac Drive after the victim accidentally left it there, between 3:45-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Both thefts from motor vehicles involved unlocked automobiles. A purse was taken from an auto parked at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way, sometime between 4 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. A credit card was used at local retailers.
Three checkbooks with checks were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 1634 Westgate Circle, the address of Gary Force Acura, druing Oct. 20-29.
