Jewelry was taken in two home burglaries and in a business theft according to this week’s crime report released Thursday by the Brentwood Police Department.

There was a bank robbery robbery attempt previously reported, along with six general thefts, a residential burglary, a stolen motorcycle and a recovered stolen vehicle, said Capt. Tommy Walsh.

Both residences where jewelry was taken had no forced entry. In the residential burglary, jewelry was stolen along with watches and a cell phone at a Grand Haven Drive home between 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, and 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.

In the general theft category, a diamond ring was reported taken from a master bathroom of a Ford Drive residence during the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3.

Jewelry was also swiped from Designs by Judith between Nov. 22-Dec. 2 after the business at 1601 Westgate Circle was left unsecured.

An air compressor was stolen from an East Creekview Court home under construction around 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. A construction worker was listed as a suspect.

Currency and coins were taken from a vending machine at Baymont Inn, 111 Penn Warren Drive, after the door lock was broken between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Three suspects were identified and charges pending for reportedly shoplifting watches and wallets at T.J. Maxx, 330 Franklin Road, around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

An employee left her purse inside Petco, 210 Franklin Road, about 3:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, and it was missing it upon her return.

In motor vehicle theft, a 2007 Honda motorcycle was stolen from a driveway on Forest Trail between Nov. 30 and Dec. 4.

Brentwood Police, making a traffic stop at I-65 and Moores Lane at 1:56 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, recovered a Nissan Altima stolen in Metro-Nashville. Christopher R. James was arrested.
