Currency, credit cards and a watch were stolen from the Brentwood Academy locker room while the football team played an away game last Friday at Battle Ground Academy, according to the weekly crime report.

There were four other general thefts and three burglaries from motor vehicles listed in the Brentwood Police Department log, released Thursday by Capt. Tommy Walsh.

Eight BA students reported the theft of their items took place between 5 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at the school, 219 Granny White Pike, while the varsity football team travelled to Battle Ground Academy. There were no suspects listed.

"The crime was committed while the players were at an away football game and was discovered when they returned," Walsh told BHP.

"The suspects actually removed keys to the players vehicles from the lockers and used them to enter cars in the parking lot. Nothing was taken from any of the vehicles."

A Harris-Teeter employee was arrested for allegedly stealing money from the grocery, 210 Franklin Road, around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Patio chairs were taken from the rear of a Wardley Park Drive residence overnight on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Two shoplifting suspects were arrested after reportedly swiping a digital camera at Best Buy, 1600 Galleria Blvd., about 1:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.

A 12-foot trailer with mower, blower and trimmer were removed from a Primm Drive residence between noon Monday, Oct. 3, and 4:13 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8. An acquaintance was listed as a suspect, and some items were located at a local pawn shop.

In the thefts from motor vehicles, a license plate was taken from a vehicle parked at 5500 Maryland Way, the address of Gateway Plaza II, sometime during the week of Oct. 2-8.

Andrews Cadillac, 1 Cadillac Drive, had the center caps removed from nine new vehicles about 5:11-5:23 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9. A suspect was described as a black or Hispanic male who left in a gray or blue newer model Ford Mustang.

The front passenger side window broken was broken out of a vehicle parked at Owl Creek Park, 9751 Concord Road, and a purse and laptop stolen about 3:45-5:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12. Two black males wearing baseball hats and driving a white sedan were seen in the area.
