Brentwood Home Page news reports Another mailbox was destroyed by fireworks, and the Ethan Allen store suffered property damages by a truck during flash-flooding, according to the weekly crime report.
However, it appeared to be another slow week on the crime front in Brentwood. There were only two general thefts, one theft from motor vehicles, and the two cases classified as vandalism in the report released Thursday by Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Fireworks were detonated inside a mailbox on Brunswick Drive overnight Wednesday, July 6, the second such incident reported around the Fourth of July.
A sprinkler head and concrete curbing were damaged after a vehicle drove through landscaping at Ethan Allen, 1805 Mallory Lane, to avoid flood waters in the Cool Springs area around 3 p.m. Thursday, July 7. Witnesses observed a black Ford F-150 driven by a white male white.
In general thefts, a cell phone was taken from the victim's desk in an office building at 7106 Crossroads Blvd., during 8:40-9:10 a.m. Thursday, July 7. The phone was recovered by Franklin Police, and charges are pending.
Currency was stolen from a purse between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, at an Arcaro Place location, the address of a assisted living community.
A Coxboro Drive resident reported a stereo speaker taken from an unlocked vehicle sometime between Tuesday, July 5, and Saturday, July 9.
