Brentwood Home Page news reports Fireworks destroyed a mailbox in the days leading up to the Fourth of July in what appeared to be a light crime week in Brentwood.
In addition to the mailbox vandalism, there were two general thefts and a theft from a motor vehicle in the weekly crime report released Thursday by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.
The mailbox on Ashford Place was destroyed around 9:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, after fireworks were donated inside. There were no suspects.
A license plate was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot at Creekside Crossing, the address of Starbucks, about 7-7:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 30. No suspects were seen.
In one general theft, a laptop computer with bag were stolen from the victim's office at 1616 Westgate Circle about 1:45-2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 5. A suspect was described as a black male about 6-feet-3 to 6-feet-5, wearing a red and yellow shirt and dark pants.
Checks were reported taken from a victim's residence on Saddlebow Drive sometime during June 2-July 5.
