Five digital cameras were stolen from Costco and a library patron had three portable computer data storage devices swiped, according to the weekly crime report.

There were only four general thefts and one business burglary attempt in the list released Thursday by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.

At Costco, a white male in his 20s, about 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, shoplifted five digital cameras between 4 p.m. and 6:53 p.m. Thursday, April 21. He was wearing jeans, white shirt and dark ball cap.

Best Buy had a shoplifting suspect arrested at 1:06 p.m. Thursday, April 28, for allegedly stealing a cell phone.

A Concord Road resident reported tools taken from the shop behind the home over the weekend of April 30-May 2. Several tools were recovered nearby.

A person using the library computer had the data storage drives stolen at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 3.

Community Health Systems, 7100 Galleria Blvd., reported an attempted burglary sometime between 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, and 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4. Attempted forced entry to an exterior door was unsuccessful.
