Brentwood Home Page news reports A diamond ring was taken from a hotel room and Costco, Old Navy and DSW Shoe Warehouse were hit by shoplifters, among incidents reported in the weekly crime report.
In addition to expensive jewelry and more taken from an Annandale home Sunday (click here), there were also a theft from motor vehicle and a vandalism case in Thursday's report by Brentwood Police Capt. Tommy Walsh.
The ring was reported stolen from Residence Inn, 206 Ward Circle, between 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, and 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11.
Multiple pairs of shoes were shoplifted at DSW, 1626 Galleria Blvd., during 4:17-4:22 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Suspects were described as four black females, 18 to 25 years of age with three wearing jeans and a fourth last seen wearing a purple sweatsuit with "1986 Pink" on the back.
About three hours later on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7:32 p.m., the Old Navy store at 1618 Galleria Blvd. reported undetermined clothing ideas shoplifted. The suspects were described as two black females, one with brown/red hair and wearing a green jacket and jeans, and the other with black hair and wearing white shirt and black pants.
The next evening, Costco at 98 Seabord Lane reported having 46 assorted DVDs shoplifted during 5:36-5:46 p.m. There were four suspects: a male black wearing orange T-shirt and black pants; a white female wearing a pink T-shirt and black pants; and two black females, one wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, and the other wearing a purple shirt.
In the theft from a vehicle, two iPods and a check were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a Harpeth River Drive residence overnight on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Jewelry, currency and credit cards were taken from a Jones Parkway home in the earlier reported residential burglary, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18. There was no forced entry.
In the vandalism incident, the two driver's side tires were flattened on a vehicle parked at a Forsyth Park Drive address overnight on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
