Brentwood Home Page news reports Vandalism takes front and center stage again on the weekly crime report released by the Brentwood Police Department, including damage to another neighborhood pool area, other equipment and vehicles.
There were seven cases of vandalism reported and four general thefts, according to Thursday's report by Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Between 5:20 and 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, the front windshield of a vehicle at an Ashby Drive residence was sprayed with black paint.
Another vehicle parked at a Grand Oaks Drive residence was covered in vinegar, flour and chocolate syrup around 9:30-10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26.
At a Forsyth Park Drive address, the Freon lines on two air conditioning units were punctured around 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, July 21.
Two mailboxes on Appomattox Drive were knocked over and destroyed overnight on Friday, July 22.
Also on Friday night, July 22, a wood chipper was damaged overnight on a construction site on Rexford Court.
Lighting and signage were damaged at the neighborhood pool area on Hillwood Drive overnight on Sunday, July 24, and chairs were found in the water.
And obscenities were spray-painted on the Haury Smith building wall on Moores Lane overnight on Tuesday, July 26.
In general theft, the Home Depot on Moores Lane reported a vacuum cleaner shoplifted from the store about 3 p.m. Sunday, July 17. A black male described as 6-foot-3, 240 pounds, bald and about 50 years old, was seen leaving in a red Ford F-150 truck.
A backpack blower was taken from a truck bed while Eastman Hardscapes employees worked in the Wikle Road East area around 2 p.m. Friday, July 22.
Best Buy on Galleria Boulevard also had headphones shoplifted at 1:58 p.m. Sunday, July 24. A white male, 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, 45-49 years old with gray hair, was seen leaving in a yellow Dodge Neon.
Jewelry, guitars and two televisions were reported as stolen from a Johnsons Chapel Road residence while the victim was out of town during Jan. 4-July 24. Numerous sub-contractors were working in the residence at the time.
