A pickup truck and trailer were stolen from Brentwood Lawnmower and a burglary was attempted on the shop, according to the weekly crime report by Brentwood Police.

There were also four thefts from motor vehicles, two general thefts, a residential burglary, and one vandalism case in the report released Thursday by BPD Assistant Chief Tommy Walsh.

The front door at Brentwood Lawnmower, 130 Frierson Street, was shattered but no entry gained on the shop around 1:58-2:01 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. However, a Chevrolet C1500 truck with attached 16-foot trailer was taken during the same time frame of attempted burglary.

In the theft from motor vehicles, a license plate was removed from a vehicle while it was parked at a Creekside Crossing lot between 8:30 p.m. and 9:23 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

The driver’s side handle was pried off a vehicle parked at 1600 Galleria Blvd., the address of Best Buy, but no entry was gained at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.

A backpack and a checkbook were stolen from a vehicle at a Forsyth Park Drive residence overnight on Saturday, Nov. 6.

The front passenger-side window was broken and a wallet taken from a vehicle at 920 Heritage Way, the Indoor Sports Complex address, about 3 p.m.-3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The residential burglary involved appliances swiped from a Turnberry Homes construction site, 9606 Rittenberry Dr., with no forced entry needed, overnight on Wednesday, Nov. 3.

In the general thefts, currency was lifted from a wallet left in a shopping cart at 330 Franklin Road, the address of Kroger, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

Filing cabinets and a fire safe were stolen from the rear of an office building at 5201 Virginia Way during noon-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. A white male, approximately 45 to 50 years old, was seen taking items to a red truck.

In the vandalism incident, both passenger-side tires were slashed on a vehicle parked at Ravenwood High School, 1724 Wilson Pike, sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
