Brentwood Home Page news reports Blue Bell Creamery of Nolensville recently provided free tasty ice cream treats to over 600 campers at the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s annual summer camps in Brentwood, Nolensville, Franklin, Bethesda and Fairview.
In keeping with the summer camp theme of “Down on the Farm,” campers have visited a working farm and learned about farm animals, including the dairy cows that provide Blue Bell’s milk. In June, Darrell Harvey, representing Blue Bell Creamery, visited six camp locations in the Blue Bell truck, handing out free ice cream cones.
Enjoying his treat, 7-year-old Brentwood camper Carter Noble declared, “This is awesome!”
As a special thank you to Blue Bell for their generosity as a “Parks Partner,” Williamson County Parks and Recreation campers and counselors made a giant banner with all the campers’ signatures. They presented the banner to Harvey on June 30 when he visited the Lipscomb Elementary camp location in Brentwood.
