Brentwood Home Page news reports Christ Presbyterian (24-4, 13-2) and Maplewood meet at CPA Monday in a big boys basketball showdown between two state Top 10 teams to decide the District 10-AA championship.
Sixth-ranked CPA's only loss in the last 15 games was to the fourth-ranked Panthers (19-2, 13-2) in overtime, 86-81, Feb. 4 at Maplewood.
Both teams have several college prospects including CPA's Jaylen Lindsay, the sixth-ranked freshman in the nation. Lions junior Craig Bradshaw is getting looks from Stanford, Tennessee and others. Another CPA ninth-grader Jake Allsmiller, son of former Vanderbilt center Brian Allsmiller, is averaging four to five 3-poitners a game.
Tip-off Monday is approximately 7:30 p.m. for the boys, following the 6 p.m. girls game.
