Annual summer tradition opens Aug. 5 for 9-day run Brentwood Home Page news reports The Williamson County Fair kicks off its 9-day run on Aug. 5 this year and if you go, boots and a cowboy hat will be in order. In between, guests will find everything a good county fair should offer: Plenty of 4-H and agriculture exhibits and competitions, a beauty pageant, a bluegrass festival, weekend fireworks, a huge midway and plenty of fair food, from traditional cotton candy and funnel cakes to Italian ices and elephant ears.
General admission is $5 in advance, $6 at the gate with children ages 6-12, $2 in advance and $3 at the gate. Children age 5 and under are admitted free.
