The Woodlands at Copperstone is a manicured, executive community of newer homes located off Sunset Road not far fromBrentwood’s border with Nolensville. Realtors and residents describe it as being both quiet and neighborly at the same time.
Most of the 120 houses were built from 2004- 2007 by such builders as Tennessee Valley Homes, Concord Homes, Trace Construction, Encore Construction and Craftsman Homes.
They are all brick or brick and stone, traditional designs with 4,000-6,000 square feet of inside living space and 2-4-car garages. The houses were built with upscale kitchens that open into family rooms and the floor plans have master bedrooms on the first floor.
There are a few one-story designs, some homes with basements, and the lots range from one-half to one acre. Tthere are a few lots still available for custom building, some of them located in the cul de sacs.
A visitor to this neighborhood will notice that all of the streets are named after semi-precious stones and minerals, like Amethyst Laneand Marcasite Drive. There are sidewalks on both sides of the streets, underground utilities and custom street lamps that give the community an elegant appearance.
Other amenities in Copperstone are a neighborhood swimming pool and cabana.
The location of Copperstone has not been its strongest suit, but since it was established, the Sunset schools have opened and now everybody in the neighborhood is just a few minutes away from elementary and middle school. High school students who live in the subdivision are currently zoned for Ravenwood High on Wilson Pike.
Copperstone residents have a strong sense of community and connection. They get together for social events and seasonal gatherings that include a summer luau by the pool and an Easter egg hunt.
