New passive park planning meeting set
Neighbors, others invited to review plans, give input

Public input is being sought on the development of the city’s newest park, and it has nothing to do with Marcella Vivrette Park off Wilson Pike. This time, the city wants residents’ thoughts on what the new passive park on land to be dedicated to the city at the back of the PLC property between Virginia Way and the Meadowlake subdivision will ultimately look like. Read More >>

Second suicide found in Williamson County this week

A body found at an overlook area at Lynwood Way between Franklin Road and Hillsboro Road in Williamson County has been ruled a suicide by the sheriff’s office. The overlook is just west of the Franklin Road and Moores Lane intersection near south Brentwood. Read More >>
Singer Donna Summer dies of cancer at age 63

Grammy award winner Donna Summer, who had a home in Brentwood, died at her home in Key West, Fla., following a battle with cancer. Summer was age 63.

Summer's powerful voice made her a lead diva of disco in the late 70s and early 80s. Some of her hits included "Last Dance," "Hot Stuff," and "Love to Love You Baby."
