Children's academy names asst. director

Theresa LePore has been named assistant director of the Micah Children’s Academy, a new pre-school for children ages six weeks to five years. Micah Children’s Academy, owned and operated by Congregation Michah, a Reform Jewish synagogue, will open Aug. 6 at t 2001 Old Hickory Boulevard.
LePore has been a preschool teacher for 11 years, nine at Hillwood Playcare, operated by Hillwood Presbyterian Church in West Meade. She holds a BS degree in hearing impaired education.  The mother of three daughters, she is an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church and School and a community volunteer.
“In addition to her solid experience in the pre-school arena, LePore has a background that will help her meet any special needs our students may have,” academy director Lynn Heady said. Heady was formerly Williamson County Director of Instruction and Curriculum.
