A Cool Springs automotive service shop will play host to a car show and benefit to raise money for the Breast Health Center at Williamson Medical Center.

Exotic, imported, domestic and classic cars will be on display from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Ted’s Automotive, 3975 Carothers Parkway in Franklin.

After seeing his grandmother battle breast cancer, marketing director Evan Lemons wants to bring more awareness to Williamson County residents.

“The Breast Health Center at Williamson Medical Center is a tremendous asset to women and men in this community who have survived breast cancer, are currently battling it or are at high risk of developing the disease,” Lemons says. “We hope the money we raise will bring more awareness to the importance of early detection and prevention.”

Various items will be auctioned off, including Tennessee Titans and University of Tennessee gear, autographs from musical artists such as Michael McDonald, Randy Rogers Band and Saving Abel, and gift cards to area restaurants. Nashville-based Carma Performance Engineering also will auction off DYNO time—an essential component for high-performance vehicles to run at peak efficiency.

Free Whitt’s Barbecue sandwiches will be served.

The American Cancer Society recommends annual mammograms for women beginning at age 40 to reduce their risk of dying of breast cancer. To schedule a mammogram at WMC, call 615.435.5022.
