Updated 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 Brentwood Home Page news reports Shortly after Wednesday night’s armed robbery and carjacking of a CoolSprings shopper, detectives located the victim’s vehicle parked at the Mission Hickory Highlands apartment complex, 100 Hickory Highlands Drive in Antioch. Franklin and Metro Police worked together through the night and into the evening hours Thursday, conducting area surveillance in hopes of locating the suspect. The vehicle was towed a short time ago from the apartment complex parking lot to Franklin Police Headquarters where forensic investigators will begin processing the vehicle for evidence.
Franklin Police have worked around the clock, pursuing leads to get this suspect off of the street and into custody. He is a young black male with a slim build and possibly has short hair. He was described as having nice teeth. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a beanie type hat and jeans.
The robbery happened Wednesday night in the parking lot of the CoolSprings Galleria. At approximately 7:30 p.m. a shopper got into her car parked in the upper level Oasis area of the mall. She was preparing to leave when a man slipped into her back seat, pulled a gun, and then ordered her to drive him to her bank.
When they arrived, the suspect ordered the woman to make an ATM withdrawal. When the transaction was complete, he told her to return to the mall area where he ordered her from her vehicle before fleeing in it. The victim was unharmed.
Information that leads to the arrest of this suspect is worth up to $1,000 in cash. Callers will remain anonymous and do not have to testify.
