Junior Paul Stuart finished fifth and senior Ryan Gadsey clocked in next to lead Brentwood High School to third place at the Class AAA boys state cross country meet.

Ravenwood junior Conley Chitwood took ninth in the 5K (3.1-mile) race at Nashville's Percy Warner Park Steeplechase Course on Saturday.

In the AAA girls meet, RHS junior Erika Peoples came in 13th and senior Allie Arnette was 15th to help give the Lady Raptors fourth place. BHS freshman Elizabeth Scott also broke the top 20, finishing 19th as the Lady Bruins placed fifth.
