Dana Barrett’s photo of stemware full and empty won the Brentwood Photography Group’s Themed Photo of the Month, while Renee Lowry’s photo of horses on a foggy morning captured the Open Category.

Themed Photo of the Month: “Opposites” by Dana Barrett

 "Opposites," Brentwood Photography Group's Themed Photo of the Month winner, was photographed by Dana Barrett. She composed the photo in her home in Franklin, on the morning of Nov. 1, and used a Canon 1D Mark III and a 24-70 2.8 lens at 46 mm.

"The stemware represents the theme, opposites; one glass being full and the other empty,” Dana said.  “The mirror in the background is capturing the color from the Tiffany lamp lighting the scene.”

Open Category Photo of the Month: Untitled by Renee Lowry

Renee Lowry photographed the Brentwood Photography Group's Open Photo of the Month  with her Canon 5D II. She used a 24-105 lens to make this image.

"This is a photograph I took on my brother-in-law’s farm in Tuscumbia, Ala., last week,” Renee related. “This was taken early in the morning in a heavy fog."
