Brentwood Home Page news reports
Brentwood resident Donna Vincler was awarded Franchisee of the Year by Kinderdance International, whose program provides quality dance, movement and fitness programs for young children.

Kinderdance of Tennesse, based in Brentwood, will start fall classes for ages 3-5 in September.

Vincler is owner/instructor of Kinderdance of Tennessee, in its seventh year offers classes in the Brentwood and Nashville areas to children ages 3-5. She was former owner/instructor of the Brentwood Dance Academy where she taught for 10 years before purchasing the Kinderdance franchise for Williamson and Davidson counties.

After just one year owning Kinderdance of Tennessee, Donna was awarded the New Franchisee of the Year in 2007.

The company was founded in 1979 and is based in Melbourne, Fla. There is only one other franchise in Tennessee, in the Knoxville area.

Kinderdance provides developmentally designed preschool dance, fitness and movement classes  offered at day cares, preschools, gyms, music schools and other viable locations where children gather.

Donna and her daughter, Aubrey Swander, who is also a Kinderdance teacher  and  a senior at Belmont University, recently attended the Kinderdance conference in July which ended with the Kinder Klout awards.

“Receiving these awards will make us members of the Advisory Board for Kinderdance International," Vincler said. "This will afford us the opportunity to assist other franchise owners and the corporate staff in providing the best dance and movement programs to children around the world.

The conference offered continuing education through sharing sessions, round table discussions, marketing strategies and training in early child development.

At the present time Kinderdance is offered in 26 states and 7 counties and is experiencing  growth both in the U.S. and internationally.

“Being at conference this year was especially inspiring when you were working with enthusiastic educators from around the world who want to make a difference in the lives, health and fitness of children," Vincler added.

For more information on a Kinderdance class (ballet, tap, creative movement and floor gymnastics) in the Brentwood area, contact  Donna Vincler  615-370-5272 or email kdoftn@gmail.com. Fall classes for children ages 3-5 begin in September.

For preschool children, movement, music and dance can be natural tools for learning as well as expressing, according to Kinderdance. Since early education is the foundation for higher education, how a preschooler learns to learn will have a lasting influence throughout his or her school years. Dance is a vehicle whereby learning about academics is fun and natural, the company says.

Kinderdance and its programs -- Kinderdance, Kindertots, Kindgym and Kindermotion -- strive to blend movement with academic concept to teach to the "total" child.

All Kinderdance programs are taught on three levels and stress development of physical and language skills, imagination and socialization while blending self- confidence and positive self-esteem.  Each hour class is taught using age appropriate music and curriculum.
