This was a generation of protest—defying authority, breaking rules, and hoping to change the world. The civil rights, anti-war, and feminist movements all blossomed and burgeoned with the generation of the Baby Boom. One of the radicals at that time avowed: “Never trust anyone over 30!” Now the people of the 60s-generation are in their 60s. What happens to a youth-promoting generation when old age creeps up? The Baby Boom generation, in every age, has made waves. Participants learn about good driving habits and get a special discount on their insurance. If family has two cars, the husband and wife can take the course to get the discount on both cars. Come and discuss this month's book! -May 19, 2011 at 6:00 PM – Fall Room Anti-Aging Seminar No one wants to feel or look older and research suggests there are basic steps you can take to promote health and longevity. Dr. Huntley uses her background in these interdisciplinary areas to cover the fundamentals of anti-aging including the importance of exercise, what foods and supplements are necessary for maintaining good health and energy, what foods to avoid, and how to have healthy skin and minimize wrinkles. Particular attention will also be given to stress management. -May 19, 2011 at 6:00 PM – Meeting Room B Beginners Yoga This class teaches the fundamentals of yoga poses in a simple, safe, fun, and informative way. Each week students will be introduced to a new theme and will be encouraged to execute each pose within their ability. Learn the basics of color mixing and painting a landscape in either acrylic or oil paint.
