Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber events include candidate forum

The Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce will hold a forum for city commissioner candidates, have speakers discuss the topics of Sitting on Boards and Networking for Success, and hold a Member Connect! event during April.

Young Professionals Council luncheon, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Wednesday, April 13: Three professional panelists will join the 40-year-old and younger professionals to discuss Sitting on Boards. Panelists are: Joe Ivey, director, Center for Entrepreneurship, and clinical professor of management, Lipscomb University; James Crumlin, member, Bone McAllester Norton, PLLC; and Linda Peek Schacht, executive director, Nelson and Sue Andrews Institute for Civic Leadership, Lispcomb University. At Lipscomb University, Ezell Center, First Floor, Paul Rogers Boardroom. $16 members, $25 guests. Reservations are required.

Member Connect!, 4:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 19: This pilot program is facilitated, casual networking opportunity to develop member relationships. At the Chamber office, 5211 Maryland Way, Suite 1080, Brentwood. It is a free event for Chamber members only and is limited to 20 participants.

Membership luncheon, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, April 21: The meeting consists of a mini-business expo at 11 a.m. then lunch with a special candidates forum for the upcoming Brentwood City Commission election, including all candidates: Bert Bosse, Jill Burgin, Mayor Betsy Crossley, Anne Dunn, Rod Freeman and Brenda Lehman. At Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Road, Brentwood. $20 members, $30 guests. Reservations are required.

Women in Business luncheon, 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 28: Kate Herman, president and publisher of the Nashville Business Journal, will speak on Networking for Success.  At FiftyForward Martin Center, 960 Heritage Way, Brentwood. $16 members, $28 guests. Reservations are required.
