Evening of Comedy scheduled May 13 at BHS auditorium

Brentwood Home Page news reports
Brentwood’s own Henry Cho will be the headline performer on Friday, May 13, when the Brentwood Morning Rotary Club sponsors an Evening of Comedy in the Campbell Auditorium at Brentwood High School.

This event supports the Rotary Club’s many charitable programs including elementary school reading programs, scholarships for local high school students, grants to local schools, international water projects, disaster response and support of Brentwood’s adopted E Company from the 1st Battalion, 327 Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

Henry Cho is a nationally known comedian who grew up in Knoxville and now lives in Middle Tennessee.  Henry’s TV and film credits include appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show, CBS’s The Late, Late, Show, and NBC’s Young Comedians Special. He served two years as host of NBC’s Friday Night Videos and had many guest roles on various network sitcoms.

Joining Cho for the evening will be fellow comedians Brian Bates and Rik Roberts.  All three comedians are known for their clean comedy, so the event is very much a family-friendly evening.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on May 13. General admission tickets are $20 and reserved seats are $25.  Tickets are available by calling 232-0901 ext. 5. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the show.

Cho’s one-hour Comedy Central Special, What’s That Clickin Noise?,  is currently running and he can also be heard on Sirrus, XM and Blue Collar Radio. Some of his film appearances include McHale’s Navy with Tom Arnold and David Allen Greer; iwith Heather Graham and Sally Field; and Material Girls with Hilary Duff and Angelica Houston produced by Madonna.

Henry’s clean comedy is so versatile that he can headline Vegas and then tour with Michael W. Smith in the same month.  Most recently Cho has inked a deal with CBS and Paramount Studios to co-create, write, co-produce with Craig Ferguson and star in his own sitcom.
