Brentwood Home Page news reports
The Brentwood Bruins and Ravenwood Raptors hockey teams faced off as cross-town rivals in the ‘black vs. blue’ showdown.  Both teams have been on a winning steak, but Brentwood had not suffered a loss in the GNASH league this season.

The Bruins got off to a rough start falling behind 0-2 after Ravenwood scored goals in the first period by Corbin Pefanis assisted by Traczewski and Stelzer, and Van Sullivan assisted by Muncie.

The second period found both teams with four penalties each, but Liddell and Wilhoite assisted a score by Garrett Elmore and an unassisted goal by Shane Liddell, made the score 2-2.

With just .09 seconds left in the second period, and taking advantage of a power play, BHS’ Hunter Wilhoite passed the puck to Joe Feeney for the go ahead goal.

The third period was uneventful for both teams until BHS’ Dominic Granda put the puck in the net unassisted with just .37 seconds left in the game, making the final score 4-3 Brentwood over Ravenwood.

Ravenwood is off this Friday night, while the Bruins face off against Pope John Paul II at Centennial Sportsplex Friday night at 7:05.
