The Brentwood high school hockey team was honored with the Comcast Spotlight Award at the 12th annual Predators Faceoff Luncheon at the Wildhorse Saloon.

Predators Coach Barry Trotz presented the award, given each year by the Nashville Sports Council to a team that has demonstrated oustanding success, talent and sportmanship.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Brentwood hockey team were head coach Chris Morris, assistant Chris Orem and seniors Tyler Richardson, Dominick Granda, AJ Rittler, Team Captain, Joe Feeney, Nick Thornber.

The Brentwood team, which defeated Centennial at Bridgestone Arena on Monday and played Independence-Page late Wednesday, faces rival Ravenwood on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at A-Game. The Raptors won the 2009-10 state championship for the Predators Cup.
