Ravenwood schedules incoming freshman night for Feb. 17

Ravenwood High School is holding a rising freshman night at the school at 6 p.m. Feb. 17, and is also making families aware of some key upcoming dates for families rezoned to Centennial or Brentwood.

For families transitioning from RHS to Centennial:

* On Feb. 2, CHS will hold a pre-registration “meet and greet” for students and teachers at Woodland Middle School.

* On Feb. 7, CHS will hold a “Rising Freshman Night” at 6 p.m.  All new freshmen, rezoned students and their parents are welcome to attend.

* On Feb. 16-17, counselors from CHS will be at Ravenwood to register students who will be attending Centennial in the fall.  Students may set up 15-minute appointments by signing up in the RHS Counseling Office.

For families transitioning from RHS to Brentwood:

* Feb. 15, Brentwood counselors will be at Ravenwood during the school day to enroll those students who will be attending BHS next year.  This is for students only, but if you have any questions, please contact the counseling department at Brentwood (615-472-4220).

An informational meeting also was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the Brentwood High School library for the families of all students who may be rezoned from Ravenwood to BHS for the 2011-12 school year.
