If you have old tax returns, check stubs and other personal papers going back to the dark ages but no where to destroy them, Brentwood Home Page and ShredX are here to help.  And we can point you to an awesome pancake breakfast too.

On Saturday, April 2, from 7:30 a.m. until noon, all Brentwood and area residents are invited to bring their personal papers to Brentwood High School's parking lot on Murray Lane to be shredded for free. 

In addition to feeling good about being green, you can register to win a Keurig coffee machine and taste samples of their coffee with a little side of donuts.

“Being a green company – the newspaper with no pulp – we love the idea of teaming with ShredX to provide our readers a place to safely have important-but-no-longer-needed documents and other paper waste commercially shredded and disposed of in a environmentally friendly way,” Kelly Gilfillan, co-owner of Brentwood Home Page, said.  "We are proud to be partnering with the Brentwood Rotary Club for this event.  Our readers can take advantage of the free shred day and also participate in the Rotary's pancake breakfast that raises funds to help our community."

The first 100 people to bring their materials to be shredded will receive a gift certificate for a Chick-Fil-A sandwich and a free ream of paper from MyOfficeProducts.com.  All you have to do is bring your papers to Brentwood High School at 5304 Murray Lane in Brentwood.  Look for balloons and the big ShredX truck. 

ShredX spokesperson Jim Tisony says paper clips, binder clips and rubber bands do not have to be removed before shredding. However documents must be removed from wire binding, 3-ring binders and heavy clips or clamps.
