Brentwood Home Page staff reports
More than 200 people from as far away as Goodlettsville traded their old tax returns, bills, receipts and more in return from a free ream of paper and the chance to win a free Keurig coffee maker at Brentwood Home Page's first free Shred Day event.

BHP partnered with Brentwood-based ShredX and MyOfficeProducts to host the event, held in the Brentwood High School parking lot. Many of those who took advantage of the service also attended the Brentwood Rotary Club's annual Pancake Day at Brentwood Middle School.
"We were overwhelmed with the response," said BHP partner Kelly Gilfillan. "Everyone who took the time to enjoy a cup of coffee, donut and visit with us in addition to having their papers shredded mentioned how much they appreciated it."
"It also gave us a great opportunity to meet some of our readers and get feedback on our news site. We look forward to teaming up with Jim Tisony and John Frisk of HiTouch Business Services, ShredX and MyOfficeProducts again, possibly this fall."
Winners of the Keurig Coffee Machines were Anna Hill and James (Jim) Meaders.
