The shaded grounds of Bethlehem United Methodist Church was the site of the 37th BUMC Fish Fry, where 1,400 pounds of fresh pond-raised catfish from Isola, Miss., were served.

Thousands enjoyed the Bethlehem Bluegrass Band, catfish with all the fixin's, huge kids game area and more.

The Grassland area's largest annual event benefits the church's missions including the upcoming Kathy's Backpacks program. The program helps area students in need with school supplies and a fresh backpack for the school year.

More than 400 Williamson County students are helped each year by the Kathy's Backpacks.

Next year's 38th annual fish fry is scheduled for July 20, 2012.
