Driving down Concord Road, it would be easy to miss Beech Grove Farms. But take a closer look at this charming neighborhood, and you’re sure to recognize its subtle appeal.

“It’s a very pretty area, with big lots and beautiful trees,” says Pat Flemming, who has lived in the neighborhood with her family for the past 16 years. “It’s very quiet, and we connect over to Liberty Church Road and BonBrook, so it’s a nice area for walking. We even see quite a bit of wildlife, including deer and wild turkey.”

Built from the 1990s, Beech Grove Farms comprises 89 homes. Currently, just three listings are available on realtracs.com, priced from $489,900-$574,900. Up until recently, the neighborhood has maintained a voluntary garden club to take care of the main entrance area and landscaping. But residents are in the process of exploring the possibility of a more formal Home Owner’s Association.

“We are continuing to explore the passage of an official HOA, but still need to tie up a few loose ends before making final approval," says Hal Conditt, garden club president

“One of the things I like best about this area is that the houses don’t all look alike,” Flemming adds. “And we have a nice mix of people – from older folks and empty-nesters to families with young children.”

Conditt and his wife Amy offer the perfect example. The couple relocated from Franklin with their twin daughters about a year and a half ago.

“We immediately loved the house and the big open lots,” says Amy, who actually grew up off nearby Cloverland Drive. “The schools are fabulous, and the neighbors are really wonderful – it’s just a great little community.”

Amy says she especially appreciates Beech Grove Farms’ convenient location, including easy access to major roadways.

“We’re just three miles from the interstate,” she says. “It seems like I can get just about anywhere in 10 minutes or so. And yet, it’s incredibly quiet. We have a hammock in the back yard, and it’s so nice and peaceful.

“As close as we are to Concord Road, you can’t hear a thing. At a time when so many people are going for larger homes on smaller lots, we really love our big yard.”
